Audited Machining & Finishing Partners

Real photos from our audited precision machining partners — most handle anodizing, plating, and powder coating in-house or at co-located finishing lines.

Which Finish Do You Need?

Start with your requirement — we'll point you to the right finish.

🌧️

Outdoor / Corrosion

Powder coating, hot-dip galvanizing, e-coating, or marine-grade anodizing. 500–1000+ hrs salt spray.

✨

Cosmetic / Decorative

Anodizing with color, mirror polish, chrome plating, wet painting. Consumer-grade appearance.

⚙️

Wear Resistance

Hard anodizing, hard chrome, electroless nickel, or PTFE-impregnated coatings.

⚡

Electrical

Nickel, gold, or tin plating. Passivation to preserve stainless conductivity.

🏥

Medical / Food Safe

Passivation, electropolish, FDA-compliant coatings. Smooth, non-porous surfaces.

💰

Budget-Friendly

Bead blasting, tumbling, black oxide, or zinc plating. Functional protection at minimum cost.

Mechanical Finishes

Surface preparation and texturing — often combined with chemical coatings.

Bead Blasting

Uniform matte finish. Removes tool marks. Ra 1.6–6.3 μm.

Tumbling

Deburrs edges, smooths surfaces. Ideal for high-volume small parts. Ra 0.4–1.6 μm.

Brushing

Linear grain pattern. Industrial-modern look on SS and aluminum. Ra 0.3–1.2 μm.

Polishing / Mirror

Progressive buffing to #4 satin or #8 mirror. Ra 0.05–0.2 μm.

Sandblasting

Aggressive texturing. Excellent coating adhesion. Ra 3.2–12.5 μm.

Lapping / Honing

Precision flatness for sealing faces and optical components. Ra 0.01–0.1 μm.

Coating Quality You Can Verify

Every finished part ships with documentation.

📏

Thickness Testing

ASTM B499/B487 calibrated gauges. Every batch tested.

🧪

Salt Spray Testing

ASTM B117. 24h to 1000+ hours per your spec.

✂️

Adhesion Testing

ASTM D3359 cross-hatch. No peeling or delamination.

🎨

Color Verification

Spectrophotometer matching, ΔE < 1.0 accuracy.

Surface Finishing FAQ

What surface finishes are available?
Anodizing (Type II & III), powder coating, wet painting, zinc/nickel/chrome plating, e-coating, hot-dip galvanizing, passivation, black oxide, electroless nickel, bead blasting, polishing, tumbling, and specialty coatings like PTFE and ceramic.
Can you match custom colors?
Yes. Powder coating supports all RAL colors and we match Pantone references. Wet painting supports any custom color. We provide sprayout samples for approval before production.
How do you verify coating quality?
Coating thickness measured per ASTM standards. Salt spray testing (ASTM B117) from 24h to 1000+ hours. Cross-hatch adhesion testing (ASTM D3359). Full test reports included with every order.
Do factories handle finishing in-house?
Many of our factories have in-house anodizing, powder coating, and plating lines. For specialty finishes we use dedicated finishing partners within our audited network. Everything managed under one PO.
What's the typical cost of finishing?
Finishing adds 10–30% to base part cost. Bead blasting: $0.10–0.50/part. Powder coating: $0.50–3/part. Anodizing: $1–5/part. Chrome plating: $3–15/part. All significantly cheaper than US or European finishing shops.
Can you do selective masking?
Yes. We mask bearing surfaces, threaded holes, mating faces, and any areas that need to remain uncoated. Masking specified on your drawings and verified during QC.
